Srinivas Avasarala

Srinivas Avasarala is an Indian film director, screenwriter, dialogue writer and actor in Tollywood. Before his acting debut, he worked as an assistant director for an English film "Blind Ambition". As an actor, his first film was 'Ashta Chamma', for which he also wrote few scenes. Avasarala made his directorial debut with 2014 film 'Oohalu Gusagusalade', which earned him Best Supporting Actor award. He was recently seen in the movie Meda Meedha Abbayi.

Avasarala Srinivas was born on 19 March 1984 in Hyderabad to Venkata Satya Narayana Murthy and Naga Mani. His father used to travel a lot regarding his job. So Srinivas has spent most of his life in Hyderabad and a few years in Vijayawada, Vizag, Kakinada, New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. He is the huge fan of Kasinathuni Viswanath, who is a sound designer, director and actor.

Education

Srinivas has done Masters in Mechanical Engineering based on Finite Element Analysis and worked for Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. He is one among the best actors, who went to a film school in the US prior to making his debut in Telugu.

Avasarala Srinivas has received a diploma in screenwriting from University of California, Los Angeles. Then he attended acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York City. He has also worked at the Universal Studios as a script screener.

Career

Avasarala Srinivas has made his acting debut in Ashta Chamma which was a box office hit. He was also Nominated for "Best Supporting Actor for Ashta Chamma" at the 56th South Filmfare awards 2009. Subsequently he has acted in movies like Orange, Pilla Zamindar, Mugguru, Golconda High School and Anthaka Mundu Aa Tharuvatha are to name a few.

He made his debut as director with Telugu movie Oohalu Gusa Gusalade in 2014. In this movie he also played an important and intresting role of a tv channel head.

In 2015 he was seen in the movies Jil, Yevade Subramanyam, Bandipotu, Kanche. The year 2016 is best one for Avasarala. He was seen in the films Nannaku Prematho, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe, A Aa, Gentleman, Oka Manasu and has directed Jo Achyutananda.
