Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood is an Indian former model, film actor and also a producer. He is well known for his work in Bollywood, Tollywood and few Tamil and Kannada films. He has participated in the Grasim Mr. India contest and made it to the top five. He has appeared in commercials for Apollo Tyres, Airtel and many more. He has won Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Villain and Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for his work in the Telugu blockbuster, "Arundhati". He was recently seen in the flick Tutak Tutak Tutiya alongwith Prabhu Deva and Tamannah Bhatia.

Biography

Sonu Sood was born on 30 July 1973 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Since childhood he dreamt for a career in acting. After doing several commercials, he made his acting debut with Tamil film "Kallazhagar", in 1999. In 2002, "Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh" was his first Hindi film, which earned him recognition. He played the role of Rajkumar Sujamal in the Indian epic film, Jodha Akbar.

Sonu Sood hails from a Punjabi family, where his father Shakti Sood was an entrepreneur and his mother Saroj Sood is a professor in English and History. He has two sisters Monika and Malvika resided in Nagpur. Sonu is married to Sonali Sood. The couple is blessed with two sons named Ishant and Ayaan.

Career

Sonu Sood has started his career with modelling and made his acting debut with Tamil film "Kallazhagar" in 1999. His first Hindi film was Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh won him critical acclaim for his performance. In Tollywood, with the release of "Super" in 2005, he received recognition for his work. In 2010, he played the lead antagonist in the film "Dabangg", co-starring Salman Khan followed by films like "R... Rajkumar" opposite Shahid Kapoor and blockbuster hit Happy New Year opposite Shahrukh Khan.

Fitness, Diet and Workout

Sonu Sood is a fitness freak, he never misses his gym routine and follows a strict diet for being in best shape. He regularly workout in gym for two hours and jog for 45 minutes. He daily concentrates on his abs for about 15 to 20 minutes. He is also practicing kick-boxing. His diet includes lots of proteins like lentils, grains and legumes.

Education

Sonu has completed his schooling in sacred heart school in Moga city. Later he moved to Nagpur for higher studies. There he has participated in modelling events. He has done graduation in Electronics Engineering from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur.
