Shriya Saran

Shriya Saran is an actress, model and presenter, who mainly appears in South Indian movies. She made her acting debut with Telugu film 'Ishtam', but gained huge fame with the movies Santhosham and Awarapan (Hindi). Her first English film was 'The Other End of the Line'. Shriya has won several awards like Nandi Award for Best Feature Film, Filmfare Best Film Award, ITFA Best Actress Awards. She was last seen in the movie Paisa Vasool.

Biography

Shriya was born as Shriya Saran Bhatnagar on 11 September 1982 in Dehradun, but has spent her childhood in Haridwar. She did schooling at Delhi Public School in Haridwar and New Delhi. Later she has done graduation in BA literature from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. Shriya is a well trained Kathak and Rajasthani dancer. She is fluent in Hindi, English and can understand Tamil and Telugu languages. She has been the brand ambassador for several beauty and health products across India.

Shriya Saran is on cloud nine in delivering successful films. Now she will be seen in debutant director R.Indrasena's film 'Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayulu'. It is being produced by Bellana Apparao on Baba Creations featuring Nara Rohit, Sri Vishnu, Sudheer Babu in lead roles. Shriya will play the role of an air-hostess in the film.

Shriya will be seen in a Hindi movie titled "Tadka". It is an adaptation of Malayalam blockbuster Salt N' Pepper. Being directed by Prakash Raj will also star Nana Patekar, Ali Fazal, Taapsee Pannu and many in lead roles.

In Paisa Vasool

Paisa Vasool is a Telugu action comedy film which directed by Puri Jagannadh. It featured Nandamuri Balakrishna as Theda Singh and Shriya Saran in lead roles. Film music was composed by Anup Rubens. The movie was released on 1 September 2017.

Career

Actress Shriya Saran first acted in a video shoot when she was in LSR College in Delhi. She has appeared in the music video of Renoo Nathan's "Thirakti Kyun Hawa" with her dance teacher's recommendation. Her second Telugu movie Santosham has became a blockbuster.

She made her Hindi debut with Tujhe Meri Kasam in a supporting role. Later she made her Tamil debut with Enakku 20 Unakku 18. Shriya was screened at the International Indian Film Academy Awards for telugu film Tagore.

In 2008, Saran then made her Hollywood debut in The Other End of the Line. Later she was seen in several Indian languages films. She played a cameo role in 2016 hit Telugu movie Oopiri.

Family

Shriya Saran's father Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar, has worked for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Her mother Neeraja Saran, was a chemistry teacher in Delhi Public School, Haridwar and also in New Delhi. She has an elder brother Abhiroop Saran, who lives in Mumbai. During her childhood days, she along with her family lived in the small town of BHEL colony in Haridwar.

Marriage/Husband

Actress Shriya is romantic at heart and feels that the concept of open relationships doesn't work for her. As per the reports, the actress is soon to enter into wedlock. The name of the person is yet to be revealed and the actress have'nt shared whether it is a love or an arranged marriage.
