Nayantara is a well known South Indian film actress. She made her acting debut with 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare and in Telugu with Lakshmi. Since then she acted in several films like Tulasi, Dubai Seenu, Greeku Veerudu, Anaamika and more. Her role of Lord Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam has earned her Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress and Nandi Award for Best Actress. Nayantara has been declared as the 'Most Desirable Woman of Chennai' in a poll conducted by a leading daily.

Biography

Actress Nayantara was born as Diana Mariam Kurian on 18 November 1985, in Bangalore, Karnataka. Due to her father's job, she has done schooling in different places including Chennai, Jamnagar, Gujarat and Delhi. She finally completed her education in Tiruvalla, at Balikamadom Girls Higher Secondary School. She then attended Marthoma College for her bachelors degree in English Literature. If she wouldn't be an actress she would have become a Chartered Accountant (CA).

Nandamuri Balakrishna is coming up with next NBK102, which will be directed by KS Ravikumar. It is titled as Jai Simha and will be produced by C Kalyan. The movie features Nayanthara and Natasha Doshi in lead roles. Buzz is that, Nayan will not the main heroine but will paly the role as Balayya's mother in the movie.

Nayanthara will be seen as one of the three female leads in Chiru's 151 periodic drama film 'Syeraa'. It will be directed by Surrender Reddy and produced by Ramcharan under Konidela Production Company.

In Aaradugula Bullet

This was the first time for Nayantara to pair opposite Gopichand in a full action packed movie 'Aaradugula Bullet'. It is directed by B. Gopal, which also featured Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Chalapathi Rao and many others in pivotal roles.

Family

Nayantara was born to Malayali Syrian Christian parents Kurian Kodiyattu and Omana Kurian. Her father was an Indian Air Force officer. She has one brother Lenu Kurian, who is nine years elder to her and lives in Dubai.

Career

During her college days, Nayantara has started her career as a Model and got noticed by director Sathyan Anthikkad. Then she bagged a lead role in the Malayalam film Manassinakkare. While shooting for her first Tamil film Ayya, she was selected for Rajinikanth's comedy horror film Chandramukhi. Later she made her debut in Telugu, with the film Lakshmi and later in Boss: I Love You.

Nayantara after her film Sri Rama Rajyam as Sita, she was seen in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and Greeku Veerudu. Later she was seen in thriller film Anaamika.

Personal Life

Being a Christian, Nayantara has converted to Hinduism on 7 August 2011 at a Arya Samaj Temple in Chennai. She has received a certificate of 'Conversion to Hinduism'. Since then her stage name Nayantara has became her official name, which means beautiful eyes.

Marriage

As per the reports, Nayantara is in relationship with a Kollywood filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. Buzz is that, the couple is living together in Chennai. When questioned Vignesh about marriage he replied, there is still time for it.
