Shamili "Baby Anjali'

Shamili is a popular actress who works in South Indian films. As a child artist she is recognized for her role as mentally challenged child in 1990 film Anjali. She received the National Film Award for Best Child Artist, for this film. As a lead she was seen in 2009 Telugu film Oye. In 2015, Shamili also debuted in Malayalam film Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti. She was last seen in Tamil movie Veera Sivaji.

Shamili best known as Baby Shamili was born on 10 July 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She has done graduation in Visual Communications. She completed her Masters in Singapore and came back to Chennai. Later they have migrated to Madras and settled down there. Shamili's father has dreamt of becoming an actor, but later he has fulfilled his ambition through his children.

Career

Baby Shamili has started her career at a very young age of two years. In 1990, she acted in Bharathan's Malootty, a film based on Jessica McClure, which won her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. She got great fame with bilingual film 'Anjali', in which she portrayed a mentally challenged child, which earned her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.

In Kannada has acted with well-known actors like Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Sithara, Shruti, Srinath, Geetha, Meghna, Vinaya Prasad, Sunil, Sathyapriya, Bhavya, Lakshmi and Abhijith.

Shamili played her first female lead with the Telugu movie Oy! (2009) alongside Siddharth Narayan. In 2015, she was also seen in Tamil movie Valliyum Thetti Pulliyum Thetti.
