Career

Renu Desai started her career as a model. She made her acting debut with Tamil movie James Pandu. In 2000, she made her Telugu debut opposite Pawan Kalyan in the films Badri and Johnny. She worked as a Costume designer for the movies Johnny, Gudumba Shankar, Balu and Annavaram. After separating from Pawan, she returned to her hometown pune. In 2013, she has produced a movie titled 'Mangalashtak Once More' and turned director with Ishq Wala Love in 2014.

As Producer

Renu Desai has turned producer with 2013 Marathi film Mangalashtake Once More. The film featured Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve in lead roles. She has started a production house and named as Akira Film's. Her son Akira Nandan was first featured as a child actor in Ishq Wala Love on this banner.
