Nandamuri Kalyan Ram

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is an Indian film actor and producer in Tollywood industry. He started his film career as child artist with the movie Bala Gopaludu. In 2003, he was introduced as a full-fledged hero with Toli Choopulone, but gained fame with Athanokkade movie. He is the owner of a Production company named after his grandfather late NTR, called N.T.R. Arts. He also owns a VFX company 'Advitha Creative Studios'.

Biography

Kalyan Ram was born on 5 July 1978 in Hyderabad, Telangana. He has completed his schooling from St.Pauls, Hyderabad and also from KCP Siddardha Adarsh Residential School, Kanur, Vijayawada. He did Engineering from Coimbatore and later completed his master degree from BITS Pilani. He has done Phd from Illinois Institute of Technology, US. Kalyan Ram is also part of Basavatarakam Trust along with other Nandamuri family members.

According to the latest reports, Kalyan Ram has acquired a Pharma Company located in the outskirts of Hyderabad for Rs 200 Cr.

Speculation is that, Kalyan Ram is set to launch his one more new film in a grand event. The cast and crew details of the film is yet to be revealed. Kalyan Ram is also coming up with a romantic-comedy film which will be directed by writer Jayendra Panchapakesan. It will be produced by East Coast Productions of journalist-turned-producer Mahesh Koneru.

In Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi

The actor-turned-producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is prepping up for an upcoming movie 'Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi (MLA)'. It is being directed by debutant Upendra Madhav, who earlier worked with Srinu Vaitla and Anil Ravipudi. Kalyan Ram will romance actress Kajal Aggarwal in this flick. TV anchor Lasya will play the role of Kalyan's sister.

Family

Kalyan Ram is the son of actor-cum-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna and Lakshmi. He is the grandson of late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, who was an actor, director, producer and politician. He has one younger brother Jr N.T.Rama Rao, who is also an actor and playback singer in Tollywood. His elder brother is late Nandamuri Janaki Ram.

As a producer

Currently, Kalyan Ram is producing a film with his brother Young tiger NTR in lead role. This is first time for the brothers to team up for a film. It is being directed by K.S.Ravindra (Bobby) where jr NTR plays triple role. The film is reportedly titled as 'Jai Lav Kusha'.

Kalyan Ram first produced Athanokkade in 2005, in which he played as main lead. The film has won best reviews and was hit at the box-office. He has also produced some more movies including Hare Ram, Jayeebhava, Kathi, Om 3D, Kick and ISM.

Marriage/Wife

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has got married to Swathi on 10 August 2006. The couple has a daughter Taraka Advitha and son named Sourya Ram. In 2015, as a child artist Sourya Ram has made his film debut with Dana Veera Sura Karna.

Career

Kalyan Ram has started his career as an actor with Toli Choopulone (2003) produced by Ramoji Rao. His next movie was Abhimanyu in 2004, both his first two movies were flop. Later with the movie "Hare Ram", under his own production has proved him as a successful actor and well received by critics.

Kalyan has established his own banner NTR Arts under the name of his Legendary Grandfather NTR. In 2015, Kalyan Ram is seen as a cop in an action entertainer titled "Pataas". In 2015 his last released movie was "Sher".
