Naga Chaitanya Akkineni

Naga Chaitanya Akkineni is an Indian film actor, who mainly appears in Tollywood. He made his acting debut with 2009 movie "Josh". He gained much popularity with his second film "Ye Maaya Chesave" opposite Samantha. Later Chaitanya was seen in hit movies like 100% Love, Manam, Oka Laila Kosam, Premam and many more. He was last seen in the film 'Yuddham Sharanam'.

Tollywood actor Chaitanya was born on 23 November 1986, in Hyderabad. He completed his schooling at PSBB School, Chennai and graduated in B.Com, Hyderabad. He occasionally played guitar and keyboard in his school band and learnt keyboard from Trinity College London. After his education, he went to an acting school in Mumbai.

Later on Akkineni Chaitanya has joined Hollywood Studios in California (USA) and learned dance and fights. He has love over bike rides and even participates in organised motorsports.

Chaitanya Akkineni has joined hands with Mythri Movie Makers production, which will be directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The film is titled as "Savyasachi", which is an other name of lord Arjuna. About his role in the film, actor Chai said that, he will be seen as a man, whose left hand will be non-functional.

Chai has also roped in for a debutant director Sowjanya's film. The makers have released the title logo and first look featuring Chaitu.

In Yuddham Sharanam

Yuddham Sharanam is a romantic thriller film directed by debutant Krishna Marimuthu. The film featured Naga Chaitanya as Arjun and Lavanya Tripathi in lead roles. Actors Revathi, Rao Ramesh played as Chai's parents and Srikanth was seen in a villain role. The flick was released on 8 September 2017.


Naga Chaitanya got engaged to his lady love Samantha on 29 January 2017. It was a grand ceremony in the presence of family and friends. The marriage will take place at W Hotel on Vagator Beach, Goa on October 6th & 7th in both Hindu and Christian traditions.

Buzz is that, Akkineni Nagarjuna decided to gift a cottage on the occasions of Sam and Chai's wedding. It is being constructed opposite Annapurna Studios.


Naga Chaitanya was born into a filmy family to actor Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Ramanaidu Daggubati. After his parents divorce, he shifted to Chennai with his mother. Actress Amala is his step-mother and Akhil Akkineni is his step-brother.

Akkineni Chaitanya has introduced into the Telugu film industry with 'Josh' as a college student. His second film is 'Ye Maaya Chesave', was hit at the box-office. He was later seen in a multi-starrer film 'Tadakha' along with actor Sunil. His period drama film Manam has featured all the three generations of his family. His 2014 movie was 'Autonagar Surya' and 'Oka Laila Kosam'. In 2015 he was seen in Dohchay as a theif and in 2016 he played a special role in Aatadukundam Raa.
