Daggubati Venkatesh

Daggubati Venkatesh is an Indian actor, who works in Telugu film industry. He is also the co-owner of Suresh Productions, which is one of the leading film production companies in India. In 31 years of his acting career, he has featured in about 70 films and has won several awards. He was also featured in some Bollywood films. Venkatesh is also the Captain of Telugu Warriors representing Tollywood in Celebrity Cricket League. He was last seen in the movie Guru.

Biography

Actor Venkatesh was born on 13 December 1960, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He has done his schooling in Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai. He was graduated in Bachelors of Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai and received his MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, USA. After his comeback, he planned to get into film production instead he became an actor. He is the brand ambassador of Manappuram General Finance and Leasing ltd for Andhra Pradesh.

As per the reports, Victory Venkatesh is teaming with director Srikanth Addala for a new film. It will be produced either by Dil Raju or by Sithara Entertainments. The actor has also signed a film with director Bommarillu Bhaskar.

Recently, Director Kalyan has met Venkey and narrated a family drama story, which impressed the actor. Talk is also that, it features Venkatesh and his nephew Naga Chaitanya in lead roles.

Family

Venkatesh was born into Naidu Family to prestigeous "Dadasaheb Phalke" award winner late Daggubati Ramanaidu and Rajeswari. He is the grandson of Daggubati Venkateswarlu and Lakshmi Devamma. He has one elder brother Suresh Babu, who is the MD of Suresh Productions.

Venki has one younger sister Lakshmi. Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna is his ex brother-in-law. Actors Rana Daggubati, Abhiram Daggubati and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni are his nephews.

Marriage/Wife

Venkatesh Daggubati got married to Neeraja in the year 1985. She is not from the filmy background. The couple has four children: three daughters Hayavahini Daggubati, Aashritha Daggubati, Bhavana Daggubati and a son Arjun Daggubati.

Career

After Venkatesh first film Kaliyuga Pandavulu, he has acted in Swarnakamalam directed by K Viswanath, which was exhibited at the 1989 International Film Festival of India and also earned him second Nandi award. Later, he has appeared in musical romance film Prema, which fetched him both Filmfare Award and Nandi Award.

Actor Venkatesh has appeared in Bollywood flick Taqdeerwala alongside Raveena Tandon. He also featured in several family entertainers like Preminchukundam Raa, Suryavamsam, Premante Idera, Raja, Kalisundam Raa, Jayam Manade Raa, Sankranthi and many more.

He was also seen in romantic-comedy films such as Prematho Raa, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malliswari alongside Katrina Kaif. He was seen in multi-starrer films like Masala and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Since then he was seen in several hit movies.

In Guru

"Guru" is an official remake of Hindi film 'Salaa Khadoos'. It is directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by S. Shashikanth. It featured Venkatesh and Ritika Singh in lead roles. Venkey has made his singing debut with this film. He played the role of a washed-up boxing coach.
